A prototype is one of the more important deliverables in a project. A prototype can be produced in respect of appearance, function, ergonomics or durability. Creator often produces sub-prototypes, in order to verify the most difficult challenges in the product we are developing at an early stage. A prototype is produced using many different types of manufacturing method, which we adapt according to what we want to verify with the prototype. CNC milling, 3D printing, vacuum casting are some common methods we use in addition to regular sheet metal work or sometimes injection moulded parts when such are required.

If full function is the goal of the prototype, and if the product's function is such, then electronics, touch screens, movements and everything to make it fully functional are included. In some cases, prototypes are so well made that they cannot be distinguished from a final serial product.
